I have had Many Multi-tools and even still have the very first one I got as a teenager almost 30 years ago.
I have had probably 10 different ones including cheaper ones like the Gerber suspension. I loved the suspension because of the way the pliers worked but the tools left a lot to be desired, and I broke 2 of them. The reason I liked it was because of the feel of the pliers and how well they worked up until they break
The swiss I got as my first one was awesome because it was a new thing I had not seen before and it was so MacGyver I had to have it. I liked it a lot but it was not ergonomic at all like the newer swiss are with the curb. My biggest gripe with them is that you have to open the pliers to access the tools and I like accessing the tools from a folded position. You also can't remove and replace broken tools easy but they have a great warranty service.
Leatherman currently has me as a fan but they have a lot of choices too. I have had Several Wave, Several Surge and now own two P4's. There are so many things I like about it and I can't see me moving away from the p4 for a while, however, there are many job-specific models I think are awesome.
So what tools do you enjoy and why?
